This itinerary goes along a ridge between Vico del Gargano and Peschici. The starting walk allows you to enjoy a wide panoramic view: on the left you can see Valle Santiago and the town Vico del Gargano while on the right you can see Peschici and the see.

In the past this area was covered by wide Aleppo pinewoods, while today it is less thick because of the grazing. Pinewoods were once an important source of income thanks also to the resin extractive activity.

By walking through those paths you can observe large masseria, wide wild areas, partially reforested during the last years, and plots of land with specialized crops (in particular grapes).

On the slopes of Vico there are two olive groves instead , a recurring typology  in the Gargano landscape, which surround the built-up area like a crown.

The shoreline, marked by deep inlets and surrounded by high cliffs, is rugged, but it is also one of the most charming of the whole Gargano.

JOURNEY TIME: 4 hours and 30 minutes (Planned stop have been foreseen in order to favor the full body efficiency)

DIFFICULTY: T = Touristic (it consists of itineraries on small routes, mule tracks and easy, visible paths,  that  do not present uncertainties, difficulties or orientation problems. Those kind of itineraries are also suitable for hikers on their first experience).
